I'm rather new to this and definently still learning. If anything here looks wrong, incorrect, or you have a question, feel free to contact me. Thankyou
- The decals listed for the 1979 TS185 on Restoration Decals are the correct decals.
About the Gas Tank:
- 1978 TS185's and 1979 TS185's use the same gas tank except for the paint and decals. 78's are mustard yellow with black and red stripes, with "Suzuki" in Black.
- 1979 Tanks are blue with white "Suzuki"
- I'll post pics of the stripes I accidentally bought (they are the '78)
- Bike bandit shows the tank decals for both the 78 and 79 on the 79's page because they use the same tank - beware
About the carburetor/ emission control:
- The second half of 78 and the year of 1979 use an early emission control carburetor.
- The top end (cylinder, head, probably other parts) are NOT interchangeable with earlier bikes, because the emission controlled units run hotter.
General:
- The "ER" version is European only, and listed as the U.K. version - please verify if you know one way or the other-
- "TS" only appeared on the seat of the 1979, others had "Suzuki" on the back of the seat.
Special Thanks to Jim and Restoration Decals
